Web Self-Service Is the Way to Go!

Every time a customer can get support through a web-based support system, the cost is microscopic compared to a voice-response unit or a human interaction. The cost of a typical customer service transaction is $5 for a live call agent, 50 cents for a voice response unit, and a few cents on the Web."

What services are provided by Praestantia?

Praestantia is an Internet Media Development Company. We develop attention-grabbing web sites. Our clients enjoy the benefit of our up-to-date expertise in a wide variety of disciplines. From image editing and compositing to streaming animation and sound, we build web sites that get noticed, build and extend brands, and make online business easier.

Our core services include: web site hosting, domain name registration, contract-based web design, strategic consulting, web database integration. Essentially, we help businesses take advantage of Internet technologies and offer our services to information technology and advertising firms who outsource web design work.

Why should I put my business on the Internet?

There are many reasons to put your business on the Internet. The three major reasons include: lowering costs with customer self-service, increasing revenues through online selling, and increasing productivity through managed data.

You can lower the everyday costs of doing business by having a web site that allows your customers to help themselves. A web site that guides prospects and customers to particular products and services, educates them about options, and answers their questions offers a quick and inexpensive solution for an expensive problem: customer relations. The evidence is compelling. Most companies that develop self-service web sites cut customer services costs and save money.

You can increase revenues through online selling. Online selling (also called ecommerce) isn't just for big companies like Ebay and Amazon. Small operators in niche markets can benefit substantially from having a web presence that reaches out to their customers. By selling your products online you can increase your revenues from both domestic and international customers.

You can increase productivity through a company-wide database system. Databases are used for all sorts of purposes these days: to control inventory, manage contacts, book appointments, and a lot more. A shared database can keep everybody in the company coordinated. Teams can share information on a network. Company promotional material and other documentation can be converted to Adobe e-paper PDF (portable document format) and stored in a centralized database, ensuring that everyone has access to the most current documents. PDFs are tamperproof (they can't be edited) and they look just like the paper originals.

How much do you charge for your services?

Our fees vary. We have fixed rates for web hosting and domain name registration. Web hosting costs $16.50 per month and domain name registration costs $60 for a two year period.

Contract web design and consulting services are performed at an hourly rate negotiated independently with each client. A typical web design project can usually be completed in three months for approximately $5,000, depending on its complexity. Other services, such as online and off-line promotion, public relations, and database management, can be incorporated into the project, as needed.

If you have a project in mind, please send us the details and request a price quote.
